Digital Telephone Recorders

There are many reasons why people need to record a telephone conversation. Recording an important meeting by phone, recording a conversation that contains instructions that can be referred back to, and even someone needing to find out if a spouse is cheating are just a few reasons.

A common device for recording conversations is a digital phone recorder. They are small in shape, therefore easy to conceal.  They do not need to be connected directly to a phone, but to a phone jack.  This enables the user to connect it to an open jack, and allow a conversation to be recorded even though the phone is being used from a different phone jack.  There is no noise interference, so either party will not hear any clicking.  The recorder starts and stops recording automatically. These recorders allow for up to 144 hours of recording, and are SD card compatible for up to 2465 hours. The device can be connected to a computer via USB allowing the user to download recordings.

The digital phone recorder can also be used as a room recorder.  This allows a user to record things like a college class lecture or a business meeting.  It is great for reporters recording interviews and the like.

If the need to record a phone conversation is to find out if someone is doing something inappropriately, it is recommended the user checks with local authorities. Most states require that the party being recorded is notified of doing so. If the recording is not needed for court, but for personal information, it may not be necessary to notify the other party. However, it is still recommended to find out the legalities whether it be for lawful or personal reasons.
